Cal‘s Jordans and TaShawn Thomas‘ unreleased LeBron James PE highlight a wild weekend on college basketball’s sneaker scene. Jordan Brand’s West Coast representative notched the biggest upset of the season to date, handing top-ranked Arizona their first loss of the season. Taking a break from the recent push of Jordan Melo M10 PEs, Cal rocked retros and PEs for their resume win. Former McDonald’s All-American Jabari Bird laced the Air Jordan 11 “Concord”, while the Bear’s leading scorer Justin Cobbs hit the game-winning shot in the Air Jordan 12 “Playoffs”. Unfortunately, the defeat wasn’t the only loss Arizona took, as third-leading scorer Brandon Ashley shelved his Nike Kobe 8 iDs for the first time all season and suffered a season-ending foot injury in the Air Jordan 2 “University Blue”. On a more positive note, Houston’s TaShawn Thomas donned a Nike LeBron 9 PE for the Cougar’s recent road trip that had previously only been spotted on LBJ’s feet. Elsewhere, Michigan State debuted their latest Nike KD VI PE, Louisville wore the latest adidas Crazy 97 retro, and the pink movement for Breast Cancer Awareness was led by the Nike Kobe VI “Kay Yow”.
