Conference play seems to generate another level of intensity from college basketball players, and it is proving to inspire student-athletes to bring out their best footwork as well. This past weekend saw a wide variety of sneakers worn across the country, from iDs and PEs to rare retros. In the marquee matchup, former Big East rivals Syracuse and Pittsburgh both put their undefeated conference records on the line in their first face-off as members of the ACC. The Carrier Dome saw heat worn by both the Orange and Panthers, including one KOC regular who brought out the original leather Air Jordan 17. Elsewhere, Houston’s TaShawn Thomas dug into his closet and wore both the Nike LeBron VIII  and LeBron VIII PS in the Cougars’ two weekend games, while North Carolina slightly strayed away from their team shoes.
