March Madness is in full effect from top to bottom. The NCAA Tournament started off with a bang yesterday, as the biggest stage in college basketball brought out some of the best sneaker sightings of the season to go along with a storm of great games. Syracuse, Michigan State, Louisville and Michigan all cruised in their previous PEs, while Harvard, Dayton, and North Dakota State all pulled off upsets in their new renditions of the Nike Zoom HyperRev and Crusader. Although his Saint Joseph’s squad couldn’t hold off UConn, DeAndre Embry put in his bid for wear of the tourney by lacing the Nike LeBron X “Championship” Pack. Contending in the same category, Lamar Patterson brought out his rare Nike LeBron III “Houston Oilers” for the second time this season to lead Pittsburgh’s bold statement. Most of the games on day one of the tournament stayed interesting, keeping up with the wide array of notable sneakers that were worn to the first day of the NCAA dance.
