Kickstarter: Nike Air Force 1
“I always liked sneakers, but I rarely got any of the top of the line kicks from when I was a kid. I did alright with what my mom was willing to spend. When I got into 8th grade and freshman year of high school is when I really liked the idea of having many pairs of shoes in good condition that I could rotate around and match differently. That’s when I started copping Air Force 1s. They were much less expensive than Jordans and other signature shoes, but still very respectable, and back then they were like $60 retail, and you could catch a pair on sale for like $45. In the video for “Mo Money Mo Problems”, they wear different colored air force ones in ever scene. I had all of those colors. Once I started making my own money in high school, the Air Forces gave way to Jordans.”
