Community Collections swings through Kansas City to put the spotlight on a sneaker stash that is stacked to the ceiling with heavy hitters. Don Budd has been into shoes since 1995 when he was only allowed to get two pairs per year, originally hooked by MJ and the Air Jordan 11. Nearly 20 years later, Don has built up his personal stock into a wall that includes a wide array of rare Nike and Air Jordan releases, with a story for each and every pair.
Work your way through the feature to hear Don’s sneaker story, and see some amazing captures of his personal favorites including his Most Rare Pair and Most Frequent Wear. Drop a line with your feedback in the comment section at the bottom of the page, and keep Nice Kicks bookmarked for everything sneakers.

Sneaker Story:
“Ever since I was a little kid, I loved shoes. My grandma Rose would take me to Mission Mall Foot Locker twice a year and let me pick out a new pair of shoes. I always buy what shoes I like, and as I add more and more to my collection I am starting to go for the quality of the shoe, instead of all the general release stuff. Now don’t get me wrong, if I had it as a kid and it’s re-releasing now, you know I’m getting it! Nowadays, JB puts out so many shoes, I feel like some of them are rushed and the colors and shoe just don’t pop like all the classics I grew up buying and collecting. All true sneakerheads know the feeling when a shoe is releasing and you just have to add it to the collection.”
