Deon Point Previews Concepts x New Balance 1906U “SEAL”

New Balance and Concepts are teaming up once more as the Boston-based brands revisit an old colorway with the upcoming Concepts x New Balance 1906U “SEAL” release.

In 2012, Concepts followed up the Concepts x New Balance 999 “Kennedy” from 2011 with the Concepts x New Balance 999 “SEAL” creation.

The second-ever Concepts x New Balance collab drew inspiration from Navy SEALs’ use of the OTB Abyss II military boot by integrating various materials from micro ripstop textiles allowing for flexibility, minimal seams, and water & wind-repellent treatments, and a stain-resistant microfiber suede.

More than a decade later, the “SEAL” concept is back with the upcoming Concepts x New Balance 1906U “SEAL” colorway.

Riding on the momentum of the New Balance 1906R, the collab will be housed on the utility version of the 1906 line, staying true to the original muse.

The Concepts x New Balance 1906U “SEAL” pays homage to its predecessor with its blue, tan, green, and brown color combination with toggle laces, hairy suede, and a textile mesh base.

A release date for the Concepts x New Balance 1906U “SEAL” has not been announced. However, we expect the pair to release via CNCPTS.com, Concepts stores, and NewBalance.com in the upcoming months.
