Last month, New Balance teamed up with the Cambridge-based sneaker shop Concepts to create the 999 “Hyannis,” which is a remastered version of the 999 “Kennedy.” And since the Concepts x New Balance 999 “Hyannis” was so popular, they decided to bring it back and update the made-in-USA sneaker ever so slightly.
Taking inspiration from the nautical heritage of Hyannis, this iteration of the 999 has sailing flags dotting the sockliner and tongue tag. The sneaker, which comes in red and blue colorways, also features a pigskin suede and embossed nubuck upper.
Releasing in limited quantities on Nov. 16, the Concepts x New Balance 999 “Hyannis” is available at CNCPTS.com for $200.00.
