A third colorway of the collaborative effort between Concepts and Nike on the Nike Air Max 1 hit the web and like the others, features a mix of different materials and prints throughout the upper, taking inspiration from the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival.
Concepts’ Deon Point initially posted a teaser to his Instagram, also geotagging the Mount Morris Park in Harlem, where the Harlem Cultural Festival was held, featuring the likes of Stevie Wonder, Sly And The Family Stone, Nina Simone, and more. The sneaker features a denim upper with the mudguard made of an olive ripstop featuring a star on the lateral side. A bovine print makes its way across the midfoot with a black paisley print on the heel, and a Pendelton-like pattern on the ankle collar. The tongue, liner, and laces are featured a burgundy velour, with co-branding seen on the tongue. The white midsole features a paint splatter on the lower half of the midsole with a purple outsole finishing off the sneaker.
