The CONS skate line has pushed out some solid takes on Converse classics we know and love. When we first previewed this pair of CTS Hi’s, as well as a white pair, the reception was one of the best ever for a Chuck Taylor. Black perforated leather is slathered all over the simple uppers, replacing the canvas we’re used to seeing. Because these are a skate-specific release, padded ankle ribs have been added for additional protection. The ankle logo patch has also been done in leather to match the remainder of the shoe. Waxed laces add a premium touch, as do the black lace eyelets. The standard white sole is still in place, but the rubber toe cap has been switched out for a leather one.
