This past December, Converse previewed the first signature sneaker for pro skater Anthony Pappalardo in the form of this sneaker shown to the right. At the time, it was stated that this shoe would release in January of 2010; however, Converse has just made the Pappalardo Pro available at its online skateboarding store for $65. The newly-designed Pappalardo Pro owns a simple yet stylish silhouette. It low-cut design is seen in blue suede and sits atop a white, vulcanized rubber sole. Red hints, appearing on the top laceholder and tongue, give this shoe a nice color contrast. Other features include the word, Pappalardo on the side panel, white contrast stitching throughout the upper and monochromatic shoelaces. As stated earlier, you can purchase a pair at Converse’s online skateboarding store. 10 percent of the proceeds will go towards the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa. |
