The Converse First String Line carries a connotation of quality and exclusivity. A recent product of this line is the Chuck Taylor Specialty Ox that dons two different colorways. At first look, one recognizes the iconic low-top Chuck Taylor silhouette. Yet after closer observation, extra details reveal themselves and bolster the appearance of the shoe’s structural integrity. The structural extras can be found in the thicker midsole with an additional rubber rand, a premium comfort system, contrast stitching, and a chambray upper that reveals its weave as it refuses to be saturated by dye. A cosmetic extra can be found in the vintage rubber license plate logo on the heel of the midsole. Both the blue and black colorways are available at The Darkside Initiative and other Converse First String accounts. Click the jump for photos of each shoe. |
