Last November, Target and Converse announced that the two have formed a vendor/retailer relationship to sell the new Converse One Star line. The Converse One Star is a model that has been around for decades, but Target will be an exclusive retailer of a new vintage inspired Converse line. The line includes clothing, accessories, and of course sneakers. The Converse One Star is priced at an affordable $29.99 and is available in an array of colors and styles.

Since acquiring Converse in 2003 and Starter in 2004, Nike has extended their reach from the highest end performance shoes to the affordable footwear. Given Targets branding of being the “hip” discount retailer, few analysts fear that this will hurt Converse’s branding, but rather give it leverage against casual-canvas-competitors like Vans.

Though initially announced that the products would be available starting February 3rd, several Target stores have begun selling the shoes. [CLICK HERE] to see the commercial Target has put together.
