Like any great signature collection, Michael Jordan’s is filed with shoes that honor historic moments in his life and career. And while there are too many to name, Converse is set to release a budding pair that odes to ‘the birth’ of Michael Jordan.

Now, the shoe doesn’t celebrate MJ’s birthday in a literal sense, but more so the shoe he felt he became “Michael Jordan” in. The Converse Pro Leather, one of Jordan’s earliest wears and the shoe in which he earned his 1982 NCAA championship, returns in a white and Carolina Blue colorway with a large Jumpman at the paneling in lieu of the traditional Chevron logo. To close, the heel feature logo detailing and uniform representation from both the 1982 and 2017 championships.

Designed by Tinker Hatfield and Dan Sunwoo, take a closer look at the Converse Pro Leather “Birth of MJ” and stay tuned for more details.
