As both the fashion and footwear world push for more sustainable means, Converse has just debuted its Renew collection comprised of a Chuck 70 Hi and Chuck 70 Ox made from undyed factory scraps.
Dubbed the Converse Renew Chuck 70 Hi and Converse Renew Chuck 70 Ox, both models feature an upcycled raw canvas upper done in an Egret hue, giving them a stripped-back look that’s also 100% leather-free. Details include exposed seams around the eyestays, toebox, heel strips, and the Converse All-Star patch on the medial walls. Going into specifics, the material is 40% virgin cotton and 30% organic cotton, while the outsoles are created from recycled brown rubber.
Both the Converse Renew Chuck 70 Hi and Converse Renew Chuck 70 Ox are available now at select retailers such as Asphalt Gold. The Hi is priced at $103 USD, while the Ox is priced at $96 USD.
In case you’ve missed it, the latest ROKIT x Converse Chuck 70 merges skate and basketball culture.
