Over the weekend, we saw Jordan Brand go in its bag with the Air Jordan 1 “UNC to Chicago” releases that brought tow of Jordan’s most significant legacies together onto the Air Jordan 1 with its mixed blue and red upper. Now, customizer JD_thePainter took the “UNC to Chicago” storyline to a whole different level with the Air Jordan 3 as an homage to the famous 1988 All-Star Weekend where MJ soared from the free throw line.

The pair has a different approach to its inspiration as each shoe hold the respective colorway in its own way as the left pair gets more of a UNC blue paired with the collegiate Jumpman as the right shoe goes full Chi-town with an all-red upper with Jordan’s famous pose. The different colored laces add a nice pop of color that goes in unison with the elephant print.
