Two names have been around since the beginning of Hip-Hop culture: Adidas and Def Jam. We first gave you a look at Adidas’ work with Redman Superstar II not too long ago, and now we’re moving forward with the collaborations with this 5-pair pack of Def Jam x Adidas collaborations. First up is the Ghostface Superstar. What looks like a very simple black and yellow colorway contains more details than are available at first glance. The stripes use fish-scale texture, the upper uses three fabrics, including rip-stop cloth, and his “Tony Starks” nickname on the heel tab. Method Man gets his own Stan Smith model, slathered in black suede. Meth’s “M” logo is imprinted on the heel, and his image appears on the tongue like with the other collaborations we’ve seen in this pack. Young Jeezy’s Forum Mid breaks the yellow and black trend, throwing in lime green instead. Jeezy’s color-up uses black leather with white stripes and a white midsole, and features a gold car-inspired logo on the side of the upper. The final two sneakers, a Samba and a Nizza both use a militaristic matte green finish on a white vulcanized sole. Both also use orange as an accent color and are branded with the Def Jam logo instead of a specific artist. Click here for pics of the whole pack. |
