Sneaker Debut Wears:
1. Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Gem Green”
2. Air Jordan 1 White/Black-Red
DeRozan didn’t have a lot of sneaker debuts this season, but his top debut was very powerful. To coincide with the Canadian military-supportive Raptors’ camouflage uniforms, DeRozan debuted the “Gem Green” Nike Air Foamposite Pro. He commanded a nice amount of Sneaker Debut points with this wear because this shoe actually released in the summer of 2012, and we expected to see it on court well before DeRozan’s wore them in late January; that’s nearly seven months after the shoe’s release.
DeRozan’s key sneaker debut is very reminiscent of Spurs wingman Kawhi Leonard becoming the first player to wear the “Wolf Grey” Air Jordan 5 on court last April – exactly a year to the month it originally hit shelves.
