As their gamechanging signature athlete turns yet another year older, Under Armour is honoring Stephen Curry’s birthday for the third year in a row with a celebratory colorway of his newest shoe.
In true Curry fashion, he and his wife Ayesha calmly celebrated last night by hosting a Black Sweats Event with close friends and family. Very lowkey and casual, as you’d expect.
Last year, Under Armour created a “Splash Party” PE edition of the Curry One with a white 3M upper, metallic chrome heel and confetti accents. It later released as part of a 2-shoe pack celebrating his 2015 NBA Championship.
His new “Surprise Party” Curry Twos for his 28th birthday are styled in a white synthetic toe and Speedform collar, with the tame top of the shoe accented by vivid hues of blue and a cupcake sprinkle-inspired graphic outsole and liner.
They also feature the number 88 along the tongue underside, a nod to his March 14, 1998 birthdate. He’ll be wearing them later tonight, as the Golden State Warriors host the New Orleans Pelicans and look to move to a ridiculous 60-6 on the season.
