Wanting to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., Utah Jazz rookie sensation Donovan Mitchell got noted sneaker customizer Kickstradomis to create a custom pair of the adidas Dame 4 that truly paid homage to the great civil rights leader.

Featuring a golden brown and black colorway, Mitchell’s MLK kicks had red laces and a clean white midsole. A black power fist was painted on both toe boxes. King’s iconic words of “I have a dream” and “Let freedom ring” were written on the sides of each sneaker. His initials are also prominently featured on the shoe.

Playing in his MLK-themed addias Dame 4, Mitchell scored 23 points in Utah’s 109-94 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday. Peep photos the kicks and a video of how Kickstradomis created the shoes below.
