Time honored jazz label Blue Note Records acts as the centerpiece for the latest DQM and Vans collaboration. Founded in the late 1930’s, Blue Note provides the visual aids that engulf both the Vans Era and Sk8-Hi silhouettes. Each highlights nostalgic album art over durable printed canvas uppers. Based in the improvisational nature of jazz, and the similar notion embraced in skating culture, this pairing has more in common than the surface would suggest. The Blue Note x DQM x Vans collaboration drops at DQM locations on May 8 and online May 11. A wider release is set to take place in June.
