Nike Shox BB4
While Shox technology may have taken 12 years to develop, “Boing” was officially born on September 25th, 2000. Half Man, Half Amazing lived up to his nickname jumping over France’s 7’2 Frederic Weis wearing the brand new Nike Shox BB4. The US would continue to rise and France would never forget Carter’s feat/feet as they would call the moment le dunk de la mort, translated as?”the dunk of death”. Team USA eventually won Gold in Sydney and VC eventually got a golden pair of the new Nike kicks. Beaverton has blessed us with a few limited runs of the BB4 retros but nothing holding a candle to the two Olympic pairs.
