DTLR and New Balance Prepare for Back to School with “Varsity” New Balance 992

With back-to-school upon us, sneaker brands are preparing several of their strongest releases. Sneaker and apparel retailer DTLR and New Balance have taken notice, employing each other’s talents to create a “Varsity” themed New Balance 992 for Labor Day weekend. This marks the second collaboration between the two, with their initial one occurring in May.

This iteration builds upon the classic “Castlerock” 992, with various colorful overlays reminiscent of varsity jackets appearing alongside the grey suede upper. Deep hues of sport blue are seen on along the toe and heel, while additional tones of red and yellow make slight appearances throughout, particularly on the tongue featuring the American Flag.

The DTLR x New Balance 992 “Varsity” is slated to debut on September 3 for $185.
