As a tribute to Joaquin Oliver, a 17-year-old Stoneman Douglas High School shooting victim, Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has been writing the teenager’s name on his Li-Ning Way of the Wade 6. Taking his tribute a step further, Wade invited Oliver’s parents to Miami’s 105-96 win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday and presented them with a custom pair of Li-Ning WOW6 and a Miami Heat “Vice” jersey.
Created by noted sneaker customizer Mache, the custom WOW6 Wade sport a red and black color scheme. Oliver’s name is written across the mid-foot straps and Stoneman’s school logo is featured on the toe box.
