From the land of glaciers and coastal fjords, Norway’s-own Erling Haaland has officially signed with Nike. Over the last 2 years, Haaland had mostly been wearing Nikes, although he was seen in PUMA and adidas boots at times. After evaluating his different sponsorship offers, Haaland has decided on team Swoosh.
At Nike, Haaland will be joining Kylian Mbappé, Alexia Putellas, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ada Hegerberg, Marcus Rashford, Leah Williamson, Kevin De Bruyne, Megan Rapinoe, and Sam Kerr.
Haaland’s journey through European Club football has been extraordinary, making the 22-year-old a promising representative to usher in the next generation of football.
Since debuting for his hometown club, Bryne, in Norway, Haaland has progressed through league play in Austria, Germany and England, proving himself a force of nature by becoming the youngest player (at 22 years and 236 days) to score 30 goals in Europe’s premier club competition. He’s now on pace to break season goal-scoring records for his current club and the Premier League.
Nike aims to uplift Haaland’s holistic fitness and mental health regime which has greatly benefitted his strengths on pitch with goal-scoring instinct, power, positioning, pace and precision.
