Cultural Significance

Aesthetically, the Air Jordan 13 “Bred”?was the only OG AJ 13 to pack 3M mesh and a Chicago colorway. While this combo was incredible, MJ?s admirable play propelled the popularity and only added to the legend. Like other kicks of this color blocking, the Black/Red makeup debuted in the postseason, though the Black/White colorway dons the unofficial ?Playoff” 13s?nickname. MJ had many memorable performances in the “Bred” makeup, wearing them in Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals series. He rocked quite the?rotation against the Jazz, sporting the “Playoffs” in Game 5 and debuting the Air Jordan 14 “Last Shot” in Games 3, 4, and 6. He also managed to break out a surprise AJ 13 lowtop that followed a similar Chicago/mesh combo in Game 2. This pair still remains unreleased.
