Cultural Significance

The “Cool Grey” 9s joined the AJ11s of the same theme, “French Blue” 7s, and “True Blue” 3s as part of Jordan’s re-release rotation in Washington.
From a pop culture standpoint in 2002, Air Force 1s were still dominating the feet of those that favored athletic aesthetic. This time around, the colorway has been making its rounds on the likes of Stalley, Teyana Taylor, and many more. The re-retros were also worn on court by Rajon Rondo.
