There’s a lot of workings in the background when it comes to sneaker collaborations and sometimes they don’t make it to release. Extra Butter Creative Director Bernie Gross knows the feeling as he showed off a trio of collaborative New Balance 574s that unfortunately ended up being scrapped.
Inspired by the prep style wave that hit Japan during the ’50s and’60s, the sneakers use maroon, royal blue, and green as accenting on the subtle cream and white sneakers respectively. Perforated leather is seen on the toebox, N logo, tongue, and ankle collar with the heel clip featuring a gold foil NB logo. Extra Butter branding is seen on the insole and behind the tongue tag with a white midsole and gum outsole finishing off the sneaker.
Looks like the Extra Butter x New Balance 574 Collection won’t see a release but let us know on Twitter and Instagram if these should have been scrapped or not. For all the latest drop dates, head over to our Sneaker Release Dates page.
