Over the past few months, we’ve witnessed the births of three new signature shoe lines, so for our latest installment of Kick Chronicles, we, the Nice Kicks staff, identify and detail our favorite first signature shoes of all time. Check out the shoes each of us selected, and share with us your favorite first signature shoe of all time.

Nike Air Pippen I
The older I get the more I like this shoe. I used to love the Pippen 1 as a kid because of the Silent Assassin commercial and just being a Pippen fan in general. Like most kids that grew up in the 90s, the Bulls were my team, but I always related more to Pippen and the Worm than MJ.
Once the black pair retroed in 2008 I picked them up right away, but I didn’t really start wearing them a lot until I moved down to Texas to work for Nice Kicks. I think these got left back in Michigan and I randomly rediscovered my love for them when I was home for Christmas. The silo is really strong. They’re wavy like the other Avar designs from that era, but slightly more mature. For casual wear, I really like the drop they have and how high they sit off the ground. They’re neutral like a Jordan because of the color palette, but way more unique. Really wanna scoop the white ones.
