Jerry Lorenzo officially joined adidas in December 2020 to lead the creative and business strategy for adidas Basketball. Since his recruitment to the Three Stripes, anticipation has been brewing on the execution of the heavily anticipated Fear of God x adidas shoe as well as coinciding apparel.

In late March, rumored images of the supposed Fear of God x adidas Basketball shoe surfaced. Shortly after, Fear of God’s Lorenzo addressed the rumors and clarified the images were not part of the upcoming collection but that the in-line product would be seen on April 19 at the Fear of God SS23 runway show at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

Rumored Fear of God x adidas Sample

The runway show previewed the upcoming Fear of God x adidas Basketball shoe as Pusha T, who’s dropping a Samba and Supernova Cushion 7 collab, was seen in the upcoming model. Additionally, a closer look at the collaborative shoe throughout the night.

The shoe appears to be designed in a neoprene bootie with a knitted upper held together with a Three Stripe TPU cage and heel counter. A slightly sculpted midsole accompanies the shoe. Other details include thick laces, a toggle lace at the top loop, and a pull tab. So far, only two colorways have surfaced. In typical FOG fashion, a light bone and black hue headline the footwear.

As of now, there’s no tentative release date for the Fear of God x adidas collection but could arrive in early 2024.
