It was bound to happen. At some point in time, although no one really knew when, Nike would begin to infuse Flyknit technology with retro silhouettes.
In a clear strategic move, Nike starts with the all-encompassing Air Force 1, a shoe that has taken on infinite forms and can withstand just about any modern update. The budding Nike Flyknit Air Force 1 “Black” features more of an opulent stance as opposed to its foundational sporting nature.
Black leather Swoosh branding and matching top strap initiate the luxe positioning, while Flyknit fabrication provides a clean and seamless look throughout the upper. The shoe is noticeably slimmed as Flyknit materials are much lighter and not as thick as past components used to construct the Air Force 1. That, too, plays a part in the lifestyle centric notion in this modernized classic.
Look for the Nike Flyknit Air Force 1 next February.
