Upper upgrades generally warrant a while to warm up on people. Foamposite took over a decade to hit its commercial peak while materials like Hyperfuse and Engineered Mesh pop in and out of the fold. One that’s won since introduction is Flyknit.

The threaded composition has been aesthetically adored to say the least, first popping up on running models and later lacing everything from basketball to golf. The last on that list continues to make strides with the Nike Flyknit Elite.

While the model’s Articulated Integrated Traction is the hero from a technical standpoint — designed to keep the golfer’s feet lower to the ground — fashion fandom still sees Flyknit as king. The sock styling is inline with soccer’s Mercurial models, making these a major statement on the links. Look for the Nike Flyknit Elite to release on June 16th at Nike and at select retailers.
