Lately, upcoming, newly-designed Nike Basketball footwear has been the center of attention. Sneakers such as the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse and the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 have the sneaker community in anticipation of their respective releases. However, today’s Footwear Faceoff focuses on Nike’s two darling basketball sneakers of the last two years.
The Nike Hyperdunk, which released before the 2008-2009 NBA season began, was worn by Lakers sixth man Lamar Odom in last night’s game 5. This sneaker was groundbreaking with its breakthrough flywire technology and Lunar sole; almost every game has seen at least two players wearing this sneaker on each team during the past two years. As far as the Nike Hyperize, it was designed to potentially carry on the legacy that the aforementioned Nike Hyperdunk ignited. Pau Gasol sported a black/purple-yellow pair of this sneaker in game 5. Both sneakers are considered iconic style-wise and performance-wise; however, which Nike Basketball sneaker interests you the most?
