The Knicks sought to avenge their early exit the year after. Facing the Heat in the first round of the playoffs, the series was most remember for the fight that broke out in Game 4. Alonzo Mourning was suspended for Game 4 and the Knicks used the momentum to beat the Heat and advance to the second round.
