1998-99 Season
Once again the Heat and Knicks would meet in the first round of the playoffs. With Jordan gone the Heat had bolstered up to the top spot in the East with the Knicks struggling to get in during the shortened season. The #8 seed Knicks defied the odds upsetting the Heat in the first round capped off by Allan Houston’s game winning floater. The Knicks would go on to be the first #8 seed to play in the NBA Finals.
