Luxury retailer FRSH Company has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with global sportswear giant PUMA, resulting in the release of the “FRSH Puma Island” sneaker. This partnership is a significant milestone, marking the first major fashion brand collaboration for a Puerto Rican company. The sneaker, which pays homage to the island of Puerto Rico, will be available exclusively at FRSH Company’s San Juan store starting July 25.
The FRSH x PUMA “Island” sneaker is a vibrant tribute to the natural beauty and cultural richness of Puerto Rico. The design incorporates a palette of colors that represent various elements treasured on the island. These include the different stages of the sun throughout the day, the golden sands of the beaches, the deep blues of the sea, the fresh waters of the rivers, and the lush greenery of the countryside. A particularly unique feature of the sneaker is the coordinates of Playa Tortuga in Culebrita, one of Puerto Rico’s most picturesque beaches, printed on the back of the shoe. This detail adds a personal touch and serves as a direct connection to a cherished location on the island.
