The Bad – Nike’s MLK Commemoration
First off, we must applaud Nike for trying to honor Martin Luther King Jr. on his special day. However, it would have been better if the shoes actually possessed attributes pertaining to his strong beliefs. As we stated in our article regarding this subject, the shoes feature a color scheme that is often associated with the Pan-African flag. Members of this society believe in the togetherness of African heritage. However, King Jr. believed in the unison of everybody no matter what race you are. Maybe next year Nike can honor him correctly.
