This past weekend in Houston, thousands of sneakerheads of all ages came to the NRG Center to buy, sell, trade, and flaunt kicks at what has now become one of the largest sneaker events in the country. Crowding around merchant booths and walking the floor, everyone was looking at the newest sneakers, accessories, clothing, and even custom sneaker displays. As usual, basketball shoes dominated the floor, with Jordans, Kobes, and LeBrons being raised high in the air. Not to be outdone, there were also plenty of Yeezys, in particular Kanye’s newest, the 350 Boosts.
Local legends Paul Wall, Trae the Truth, and Slim Thug also made appearances, debuting music and meeting and greeting fans. This year also marks the popularity of the Air Board, as many collectors, dealers, and even artists like Trae the Truth were found zipping across the showroom floor.
