In recent years, Hajime Sorayama has become a frequent collaborator in the sneaker space with exclusive releases from Dior, BAPE, Mizuno, and even Li-Ning. For the Japanese artist’s latest project, Hajime Sorayama teams up with PUMA to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the PUMA Clyde.
Sorayama was seen wearing the pair at the opening his “Space Traveler” exhibit at NANZUKA UNDERGROUND, NANZUKA 2G, and 3110NZ by LDH Kitchen in Tokyo.
Taking inspiration from his sexy robots, the Hajime Sorayama x PUMA Clyde is covered in his signature chrome. The toebox and sidewalls shine in metallic Silver, while the tongue adds texture with soft Grey suede. Hints of Gold pop out on the sockliner and the embossed “PUMA” logo on the tongue, both which complement the flat Gold laces. The signature PUMA Formstrip also appears in chrome, with a matching PUMA logo just above it. The sneaker is complete with a White midsole.
The Hajime Sorayama x PUMA Clyde is expected to release later this year. Updates can be found on our Sneaker Release Dates page. The retail price is unknown. Take a look at the sneaker below and follow @NiceDrops on Instagram.
