Kanye West has an eye for talent.
Whether it’s Virgil Abloh or Kid Cudi, he’s been able to spot creatives before the world knows there name.
More discovered but talented just the same, Kanye was able to bring industry vet Steven Smith to YEEZY and the rest as they say is history.
Calling Smith – the man behind the Instapump Fury among other classics – he flew the underground legend to NYC, offered him a job at YEEZY and the two eventually created the famous 700 in a marathon 48 hour session.
Unearthed from the recent Fast Company talk, hear Smith and Ye go back and forth on their creative process and ambition in the video above.
