Virgil Abloh and OFF-WHITE aren’t resting this summer as the OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1 Low “MCA” was a huge hit that caught many off-guard with its surprise drop.
The pair was inspired by Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
The unanticipated drop left many empty handed to the point where Mr. Abloh himself created a DIY project for those sneakerheads that missed out.
“Go to Footlocker two blocks away, buy [a general release], paint them blue, and find a red tag at Home Depot” – Virgil Abloh on advice to kids who missed out on his “MCA” AF1 (via Complex)
Armeniankicks took Virgil’s recommendation and created his very own OFF-WHITE x Nike AF1 Low “MCA” with the help of some paint and that famous red tag.
Even Footlocker hopped onto Virgil’s advice in case you’re in the market of your own pair.
Hey @virgilabloh, just let us know if you want to link up for the culture. https://t.co/RyZ0OEvkDO
