Following their work on the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Modern, Nike design trio Mark Parker, Tinker Hatfield and Hiroshi Fujiwara again reimagine a Converse silhouette; this time around it’s the Auckland Racer.
Aptly titled the Converse Auckland Modern Low Top HTM, the shoe is said to take inspiration from Converse’s collaborative works with runners and their coaches from the ’70s and ’80s.
The modern contemporary style looks big on materials and texture and visibly scaled back where branding is concerned – HTM initials appear at the heel.
The shoe is surprisingly available now without much build up for $130 at Nike.
