Ice Studios And ASICS Get Frigid On The GEL-Kayano 14

ASICS has teamed up with Renell Medrano’s Ice Studios on their first sneaker collaboration on the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 which takes inspiration from her childhood.

“Growing up my parents had most of the family rocking ASICS. I remember wearing them when I was young and I actually still have the pairs my parents would wear back in the day,” said Medrano. “I was drawn to the GEL-KAYANO 14 because it sits right in the middle of sporty and stylish –that’s how I would describe my personal style.”

The sneaker takes on a tonal look in baby blue, using mesh on the base with layered leather featured on the overlays. A metallic blue overlay is seen near the heel that features Ice Studios branding in yellow, giving the sneaker a pop of color with shades of blue seen again on the midsole. Yellow is seen again on the GEL cushioning system on the heel of the sneaker with a shank plate utilized for stability and a blue outsole finishing off the sneaker.

The Ice Studios x ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 is set to drop on August 12th via icestudios.shop for $150 with a wider release on ASICS.com and at select retailers on August 19th.
