Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen and Quentin Richardson surprised many sneaker enthusiasts when they debuted the Air Jordan Alpha 1 on Christmas Day 2009 (see our Kicks On Court: Holiday Treats). A month later, Jordan Brand released their first colorway of the performance based Air Jordan Alpha 1. This sneaker, which debuted around this time last year, can be credited for Jordan Brand’s recent commitment to performance-ready creations (Jordan Take Flight, Jordan Pure J, Jordan Prime 5). Many applauded Jordan Brand for taking a vintage, classic Air Jordan model and incorporating up-to-date, performance technology and attributes.
Did you purchase the original Air Jordan Alpha 1, and was it worth $125? If not, are you wishing you would have snagged them last January? How does this sneaker rank amongst the other performance based sneakers from Jordan Brand lately? Lastly, was this one of your favorite Air Jordan releases of 2010?
