Today marks the official, nationwide release of King James’ ninth signature silhouette, the Nike LeBron 9. While you set up your plans on how to snag a pair of LeBron 9s today, we would like to take a little time of your day to reminisce on the anticipation surrounding the Nike LeBron 8 last fall. James’ eighth signature shoe was not widely accepted by enthusiasts when samples surfaced on the web in the spring of 2010. However, as we inched closer and closer to the official release of the LeBron 8 last year, an abundance of sneakerheads expressed vast interests in this shoe. It is now considered one of LeBron’s more comfortable and performance-ready sneakers to date.

Were you able to get your hands on either of these Nike LeBron 8s, and was it worth the money you paid? If not, are you wishing you had snagged one of these last year? How does this colorway rank amongst the other Nike LeBron 8s that released (“South Beach”, “Triple Black”)? Lastly, was either one of these your favorite release of 2010?
