J Balvin wore an all-new Air Jordan 4 “Rayo” custom, celebrating the Colombiano’s latest album. Although not an official collaboration, the custom by Andu is a continuation of Balvin’s Jordan Brand presence.

The “Rayo” Air Jordan 4 embodies the album cover’s chromed-out look as the AJ4 features a metallic look on the upper and tongue while a white leather toe box, vamp, and quarter accompany the pair.

Additionally, chrome on the Air Jordan 4 mudguard is paired with an aged finish on the AJ4’s signature cupsole wall.

While the pair will remain as a custom, we anticipate the already successful J Balvin x Air Jordan relationship to grow in the coming years.

J Balvin’s collaboration with Air Jordan began with the Air Jordan 1 in 2020, where the Colombian artist infused his signature colorful, tie-dye aesthetic into the classic high-top, making it an instant hit. This partnership continued with the Air Jordan 2, released in 2022, showcasing a more refined yet equally bold design that featured glow-in-the-dark details and cloud-like motifs, capturing Balvin’s evolving creative vision.

In 2024, the relationship took a step further with the Air Jordan 3 collaborations, “Medellín Sunset” and “Rio” editions, celebrating his roots through vivid hues and thoughtful details.

With 2025 on the horizon, could the “Rayo” custom Air Jordan 4 be the lead to a potential J Balvin x Air Jordan 4? Stay tuned.
