Will wear on Christmas Day

The Nike Ja 1 rollout is officially underway as we get our first look at Ja Morant‘s highly anticipated signature shoe.

The Memphis Grizzlies guard joins an elite cohort as he becomes the fourth Nike-backed NBA player with an active signature shoe with LeBron, Durant, PG, and Giannis preceding him (with Devin Booker rumored to be joining soon).

Earlier this year, rumors of the Nike Ja 1 surfaced with news of three colorways on the horizon with “Cobalt Bliss”; “Game Royal”; and “Phantom” in the works for summer 2023. Additionally, Drake added to the commotion of the signature saga as he teased the addition of Ja & Book during Nike’s JDI Day.

Ahead of the Grizzlies’ Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors, we get an official look at the Nike Ja 1.

The Nike Ja 1 will make its on-court appearance as the Grizzlies visit the Warriors at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN.

Nike, Inc. is honored to partner with Ja Morant to serve the future of athletes and sport.

Morant, Nike Basketball’s first Gen Z signature athlete, is a revolutionary player who quickly became a global star with his unmatched athleticism and exciting style of play. His authentic personality, deep love for his community and family and joy for the game make him very special — on and off the court.

We are thrilled to add Morant to our signature roster and can’t wait for everyone to learn more about his first shoe, the Nike Ja 1.

Scott Munson, Nike VP, Global Men’s Basketball

Morant’s signature logo features a stylized “JA” sitting above a chevron, which represents his dynamic athleticism in every direction. The Ja 1 is designed to keep you in control, maximize hang time, and reduce landing force through lockdown benefits.
