Her deal also includes equity in the footwear brand.

Dallas Wings rookie Jacy Sheldon is the latest WNBA athlete to get a signature shoe as the Ohio State alum joins HOLO Footwear‘s roster.

The footwear brand, whose mission is about performance and style with eco-friendly materials, continues its entry into sports, specifically basketball with Cleveland Cavaliers’ Isaac Okoro and his signature, the IO:01.

Now, the brand looks towards the W as momentum in the league, and women’s sports overall, continues.

This season, Sheldon has worn Player Exclusive versions of the IO:01 and will continue to wear it leading up to her signature shoe.

In addition to her own HOLO model, Sheldon will have equity in the company as well as base compensation and royalties.

We spoke with Sheldon about what it means to join HOLO, the significance of her signature shoe, and more.

Read the interview below.

Nice Kicks: What about HOLO drew you to join the brand?

Jacy Sheldon: From the very first interaction, it was clear that HOLO not only talks about their core values of family, loyalty, grit, purpose, leadership, and being fearless, but they live it. This alignment of values with my mission of making a difference on and off the court made it a perfect match.

HOLO felt like a natural extension of who I am and what I strive to achieve, both personally and professionally.

NK: How significant is this deal for not only yourself but the growth of the WNBA and the momentum in women’s sports in general?

Jacy Sheldon: For me, it’s a symbol of the journey and the support I’ve received from my family, teammates, and fans. It’s about more than just a shoe; it’s about breaking barriers and setting new standards.

I hope my signature shoe will be a symbol of what’s possible for young girls who dream of playing professional sports. It’s about showing them that with grit, determination, and purpose, they too can achieve their dreams. I want this shoe to remind them that they belong on this stage and that they are valued.

NK: What can fans look forward to with this deal?

Jacy Sheldon: Long term I am looking forward to the influence of our core values including the message, “I get to!” and my sister Emmy’s words, “Don’t ever give up.”  This drives the need for the dedication to continuous innovation, shoe expansion, and especially empowering future generations of athletes.

I can’t express enough how excited I am to be working with the HOLO family. I can’t wait to put our vision into motion.

Sheldon’s inaugural signature shoe will release in 2025.
