It’s finally official. James Harden and adidas Basketball have inked a deal that will see the All-Star shooting guard in Three Stripes for the foreseeable future. The 13-year, $200 million offer went unmatched by Harden’s former endorser, Nike, and it was revealed by adidas this morning that Harden’s deal with the brand will begin on October 1.
The long-term deal with adidas will include an exclusive signature collection, product design collaborations and marketing campaigns surrounding Harden. What that really means for all that have been dying to know is that, yes, James Harden will have a signature shoe with adidas.
Moreover, his signature offering will not only feature on court options, but exclusive off court apparel. Harden will also travel extensively on brand tours in Europe and Asia in the near future.
Joining the likes of Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard, John Wall, Andrew Wiggins and others, Harden will kick off his new deal as the face of the brand’s global campaign that will begin at the start of the 2015-16 NBA season.
adidas Basketball continues to position themselves in the business of players. After bowing out of their deal with the NBA as its official outfitter, they continue to bolster their player roster greatly with Harden.
