Selected as the second overall pick in the 1994 draft, Jason Kidd fluidly stepped into his role as floor general thus earning himself co-rookie of the year honors (alongside Grant Hill). Due to his immediate effect on the Mavericks, it was clear Kidd was deserving of a signature shoe and Nike was more than happy to hook him up. The Air Flight ?95, a perennial favorite among sneakerheads (evidenced by the shoe?s re-release in 2008), cemented Kidd?s name in the kick game. Kidd remained with Nike throughout his stays in Dallas, Phoenix, and New Jersey. While with Nike J. Kidd was also spoiled with numerous Jordan PEs. However, upon returning to Dallas in 2008 Kidd surprised many by switching-up sponsorships and leaving Nike for the fledgling Chinese brand, Peak. Yet before Kidd left, Nike made sure to celebrate his storied career with numerous re-releases and retros.
