Beaumont bred, MLB slugger Jay Bruce is giving back to his Southeast Texas hometown in these times of crises. How so? He’s giving away one of his very rare 1 of 2 Nike Swingman PE Cleats.

Teaming up with Phil Lipshutz and the good folks at Unheardof back when he was with the Reds, this cleat was eventually worn by Bruce during his days with the Mets but still made memorable by his Texas roots. Nods to his little league teams in Beaumont appear on the lining as do other homages to the Lone Star State. Just like Michael Jordan picked players in his likeness to represent Team Jordan, Ken Griffey Jr. did the same by selecting Bruce to his Swingman line. That’s a pretty big deal.

So, how can you help and how can you have a chance at scoring these extremely rare PEs? Donate to Bruce’s donation page through his current team, the Cleveland Indians, here. Screenshot your donation and share it on Twitter with the hashtag #HarveySETX and handles @JayBruce87 and @Unheardofbrand and Jay will personally pick a winner. Harvey is looking to reach $100,000 in donations and personally match it. Good luck!
